DATASET NAME: SCALE_LETKF

The Local Ensemble Transform Kalman Filter (LETKF) data assimilation package for the SCALE-RM weather model (provided by RIKEN)

The original data are stored in SDRBENCH-SCALE_98x1200x1200.tar.gz, in which there are 13 files (i.e., fields).
This dataset corresponds to one typical snapshot/time step generated by SCALE-LETKF simulation. 

In addition, since some fields have extremely uneven distribution of data (a large majority of data are close to 0 while a few are extremely large), it makes more sense to visualize them in log scale. That is, the users are recommended to use log version to compress these fields, which can be found in SDRBENCH-SCALE_98x1200x1200_log.tar.gz. For the compression developers/researchers, we suggest to use SDRBENCH-SCALE_98x1200x1200_log.tar.gz instead.
